The European Academy of Fine Arts offers a six-semester artistic study program, which is completed extra-occupationally. The course is concluded with the diploma of the European Academy of Fine Arts as well as an exclusive exhibition in the art hall.
The studies are mostly focused on painting. The pracitcal work gets accompanied by art-historical lectures and practical and theoretical exercises in artist management.

The artistic studies at the European Academy of Fine Arts may also be completed without a highschool degree. The aim  is to enhance your knowledge and skills in painting, drawing, image composition and contemporary artistic positions. You will be able to develop your individual artistic expression and style and to present your artistic work in exhibitions and online.

Access is open to everyone. A highschool degree is not required and there is no age limit.

Access requirements for the artistic studies:

- Portfolio with a total of 20 originals (drawing, painting, collage, photography etc.). The portfolio serves to determine the artistic attitude. Using photographs or DVDs is only allowed if they contain artistic photographic or film material or documentary photos of installations, perfomances and exhibition rooms. Photographs as a replacement for the originals are not wanted.

- Brief curriculum vitae with photo

- Certificates of completed artistic courses/workshops if applicable

Applications will be rejected if incomplete. The European Academy of Fine Arts does not  take the responsibility for the submitted works.

Application deadline: June 30, 2018

We also will gladly provide you with advice concerning the composition of your portfolio. In this case please contact the administration of the academy (tel. 0651 998460 or info@eka-trier.de). We also suggest to take part at the basic studies of drawing and painting before participating in the artistic studies.

During the artistic studies you start working theme-oriented while being individually supervised. Working at home and outside regular teaching time is part of the study program. During the working process the education will change towards a professional support of your own artistic work. A semester usually consists of seminar courses in the studios of the European Academy of Fine Arts (five weekends per semester), one working week (selection from the current course program) and autonomous working at home.
